About Us
Welcome to Playball in the United Kingdom
Motivate - Inspire - Challenge
Playball offer a multi-skill programme of sports activities, fundamental movement skills and games for children aged 2-9 years.
Our programmes are age specific and the curriculums follow a progressive pathway from the basic building blocks of jumping, throwing, rolling, hitting, catching, kicking, to learning a variety of sports skills, to having fun with mini games of tennis, hockey, cricket, rugby, football, basketball, baseball, volleyball and much much more!
Our action-packed lessons will immerse your little star in fun, age-appropriate, high quality games and activities, ensuring that they have a positive experience with us and enjoy every minute of being physically active!
Playball children engage in activities which promote a positive self image, encourage persistence and strengthen the desire to want to challenge oneself.
The continuous scientific study behind Playball shows that the type of activities the children take part in accelerate the neural pathway development between the brain and the body. This has a marked impact on how children will perform cognitively as well as physically at school. Why leave something so important to chance? Let's get our kids active!

Encouraging Appropriate Physical Activity
In order for children to further their physical development, they must practice the many skills that will ultimate lead to gross motor control, fine motor control and overall balance and coordination. This may seem like a lot to learn, but almost every physical activity in which they participate will offer children the chance to further these skills.
For children to master their gross motor skills, they should be encouraged to engage in activities that offer them the chance to walk, run, jump, and throw – outdoor activities are particularly suited to these skills. To master their fine motor skills, children should be encouraged to participate in stereotypical indoor activities such as cutting paper, writing, drawing, zipping and buttoning.
Coordination and balance can be practiced in most children’s activities, so encouraging your children to participate in a wide and varied spectrum of activities each day will give them the best chance to round off all of their skills. Just be sure to encourage your children to engage in activities suited to their levels of ability or tears and frustration will likely result.
Encouraging your child’s physical development is actually a two-pronged process: providing proper nutrition and offering appropriate and consistent physical activity. No matter what their genetic plans hold, children who are fed a nutritious diet will have all of the vitamins and minerals that they need to fully support their physical development and children who are encouraged to participate in physical activity will have the chance to practice their muscle control and coordination. Though such support can not totally influence a child’s physical development, it can never hurt it either!

Make Children Feel Special
A child’s mental and emotional health is just as important as their physical health. From the earliest moment, they need to feel they are special and cared about.
A child who enjoys good mental and emotional health will approach new situations with confidence. When they are comfortable with themselves, they can express their emotions in a positive way. As they learn to value themselves and develop confidence in their ability to make responsible decision, they are building a sense of self esteem or self worth.
Parents and teachers share the responsibility for helping children build self-confidence. A confident child is more successful. Confidence in one’s ability to learn new and difficult skills can affect future achievement too. Developing a trusting relationship with a child, establishing open communication, and recognising achievements are important. When children know they can do something well, they feel special.
This is what Playball strive for - every lesson - for every child!
